Potthoff Appraisals is a full service real estate appraisal organization with over 25 years experience. Appraising residential, commercial and agriculture properties is the basis of our services.

Potthoff Appraisals is a family run and operated business where we pride ourselves on integrity, competence and professionalism. We hope to serve your real estate appraisal needs from our offices in Carroll and Waukee.

Potthoff Appraisals was originally started in Carroll, Iowa by Scott Potthoff in 1986. In order to meet increasing demand and with our desire to meet the client's timely appraisal needs, we expanded in 2004 with an office in Waukee operated by Jeff Potthoff. Scott’s daughter Piper Potthoff joined the family business in 2013, she is located in Carroll with Scott. All 3 appraisers are very qualified appraisers. They meet or exceed the mandatory continuing education required for all appraisers and meet USPAP regulations.

The appraisal industry is a highly regulated industry and all 3 appraisers are in good standing. In addition to our vast appraisal experience and education; Scott, Jeff, and Piper all hold bachelor’s degrees from accredited 4 year universities.
